Ingathering Sunday is First Parish’s annual multigenerational transition from summer to fall: with worship back in the Sanctuary, the staff team back from summer leave, and the Water Communion ritual. Remember to bring water from your summer adventures that morning (though we will also have “representational water” available if you forget). We’ll also hear music from Laura Nevitt and our traditional participatory prelude from Beth Sargent and the First Parish Players, and have readings and an interactive Story for All Ages about “restoring Zeus’s Law” from Rev. Catie Scudera and John Newhall. The First Parish staff team especially hopes to see you this Sunday!

Wednesday December 24th at 10:30 (Cocoa, Coffee, & Carols in the Parish Hall) and at 5:30 pm (Candlelit Christmas Eve in the Sanctuary)

All are welcome at both of our Christmas Eve services on December 24th! In the morning at 10:30 am, we’ll gather in the Parish Hall with cocoa and coffee (thanks to our Friends Of Social Hour) to sing beloved Christmas carols and hear beloved Christmas stories and poems. In the evening at 5:30 pm, we’ll gather in the Sanctuary for our traditional candlelit Christmas Eve; a brief “cocoa and cookies” social hour will follow (thanks to all of you — reach out to FOSH to contribute). Rev. Catie, DRE John Newhall, and both of our music directors Laura Nevitt and Chris Lockman will lead both services, and we’ll hear music from our First Parish Choir in the evening. Merry Christmas!
