Flower Communion Sunday! Connection: A Cure for Loneliness, Rev. Catie preaching

Sunday June 16th at 10:30 am, livestreamed from the Sanctuary

For our last Sunday service in the sanctuary until September, we celebrate our interdependence and the power of community connections during this multigenerational and interactive Sunday service. As is our tradition, we will hold the beloved Flower Communion ritual! If you’re participating in person, please remember to bring a flower (or many!) to share, and if you’re participating via Zoom or YouTube, please have a flower with you or a floral background/emoji to get into the spirit of the ritual. We will also honor Father’s Day, Juneteenth, and the Summer Solstice. If you’re able, plan to spend the day with First Parish: our social hour will be a picnic held at Erik and Liz Rover Bailey’s home, and we’ll host Needham Has Pride celebrations at 2 pm (beginning with a rally on First Parish’s front lawn) and at 4 pm (our final Elizabeth Duhig To the Fore concert of the year, featuring queer composer and former First Parish accompanist Kelvyn Koning).

Don’t Forgot to Collect Water for Ingathering!

Please remember that First Parish celebrates the Water Communion ritual at our multigenerational Ingathering service back in the Sanctuary each September. During your summer adventures near and far, collect some water to bring to Ingathering on September 8th. As always, there will be representational water (from water communions of years’ past) available.
