Welcome to our new Ministerial Intern

by | Mar 8, 2020

We are delighted to announce the selection of Jenna Crawford to become our next Ministerial Intern.  We were very impressed with Jenna’s many qualities:  her poise, eloquence, and confidence during the interview;  her intelligence and talent as a writer; and her inspiring sermon samples.  In addition, we received remarkably thoughtful and enthusiastic recommendations from her references.

Jenna came to Unitarian Universalism as a teenager when she found a spiritual home at the UU Church in Reading, MA.   She graduated from Hamilton College in 2017, studied abroad in India in 2015, and fell in love with the High Peaks and wild rivers in the Adirondacks as a backpacking leader for rising college freshmen.  Jenna has also worked as a field expedition group leader (and cook) in the American Southwest, a project manager for BU’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship center, and a hospital chaplain intern at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  Jenna is in her second year of the Masters of Divinity program at BU’s School of Theology.  She was preparing to travel to Israel/Palestine this spring to study conflict transformation, but the CDC warnings about coronavirus sadly derailed her plans.  She is thrilled to join First Parish Needham in learning and service this September.

Jenna’s call to ministry is a journey we are pleased to support.  We are lucky that she chose to accept our offer to become First Parish Needham’s next Ministerial Intern!
