First Unitarian Church of Chicago
On August 8th we will be going on a visit to the First Unitarian Church of Chicago to see and hear the major parts of their service from May 9th entitled “What is Church For?” This is a congregation led by a married couple who are both ordained UU ministers. We will get to witness their style of worship and listen to a story for all ages told by Rev. David to their Saint Bernard dog “Pilot”. It can be reassuring and inspiring to realize how widely our values are held across this country and beyond as we witness yet another congregation coming together in trying times to “support and comfort one another” as our own covenant says and to carry on the stewardship of our common faith. Come join us as we open our hearts and minds to our fellow worshippers in Chicago.
