The Community Garden

In a community garden, portions of the garden are tended to by individuals or the whole of the garden is tended to by all those involved. Typically, the gardeners collaboratively agree with one another about how to tend the garden and how to share the harvest. What lessons does such a garden offer to us, as we consider how to collectively cultivate our spiritual community at First Parish? With music from our music directors and poetry from Marge Piercy, we’ll explore this question. After the Time for all Ages, our kids, teachers, and interested parents will head off to our RE Kickoff, starting in the Parlor all together and then splitting up for special activities by class. If you haven’t registered your kids for Religious Exploration, you can do so at uuneedham.info/RERegistration ; all kids are welcome anytime to our Sunday morning programs, regardless of registration.
