On Sunday, June 26 at 10:30am, we will be replaying a shorter version of the “Service of the Living Tradition” from the General Assembly 2022.
Please note that this service will not be available on Zoom on Sunday but will be available at our usual First Parish YouTube streaming site. After the service is over, we will be able to gather for Social Hour in our usual Zoom room and hear any Joys and Concerns of our own parishioners.
Led by the The Ministries and Faith Development Staff Group, this service honors fellowshipped and credentialed religious leaders; remembering those who have died, recognizing those who have completed active service, and welcoming those who have received fellowship or credentialed status in the past year. The service includes a collection to benefit the Living Tradition Fund.
The sermon, Radicals Rise Up -NOW Is A Moment, will be delivered by Pastor Jacqueline Duhart, Director of Spiritual Care Services at Starr King School for the Ministry. Pastor Jacqueline is a Queer feminist of African heritage, mother, prison abolitionist, beloved partner, daughter and sibling, Minister Emerita of First Unitarian Church of Oakland, NURTURER, and LOVER of everything that supports life to thrive in joy.
