Especially during the holidays, the dominant culture promotes the idea that we are what we have or how much we can spend. Our Unitarian Universalist tradition teaches us something different, that we all have inherent worth and dignity (our monthly theme for December, inspired by our UU First Principle). How can we live into this value during this season when the pressure for consumerism and busyness is so high? We will also honor Hanukkah and the second Sunday of Advent during the service.
