Pilgrimages

We make the road by walking – so goes the poem by Antonio Machado. The way ahead is not always laid out for us, and sometimes it takes a little bushwhacking and slogging in the mud to get where we’re going. But those times when we aren’t sure of the path but we forge ahead anyway are often the times we truly discover something of our selves: our courage, our strength, our flexibility. This sermon will reflect on the journeys that shape us, when we are called to travel from the familiar into the unknown.
