In-person programs cancelled on 2/9; some programs moving to Zoom!

Due to the snowstorm predicted beginning Saturday night into Sunday morning, we are cancelling in-person programs at the church on Sunday 2/9. Both the Sunday worship service and Lane Lyceum will be available on Zoom instead, with more information on each program below.

Please join us at 10:30am on Zoom ONLY for a contemplative service of readings, candles, meditation, and an extended social hour time to visit with each other. The contemplative short service will last about 30 minutes, followed by a 30 minute social hour (stay as long as you’d like)! Come bring your cozy items, breakfast, and coffee and join us on Zoom. It is a good week to be together, even virtually.

From Single Use to Zero Waste: What’s Up with Recycling?

Recycling has been in the news, from contamination problems to assertions that our plastic containers aren’t being recycled. Recycling expert Claire Galkowski will do a deep dive into impacts from some everyday consumer products, both upstream and down. She will explain how recycling works and provide practical tools to Reduce, Reuse, and “Recycle Smart.”

The youth group’s Soup Sunday will be rescheduled for another Sunday this spring. For any other meetings that were scheduled at the church on Sunday, please contact your committee chair or team lead about rescheduling or moving to Zoom.
