Sunday, January 14th at 10:30 am, livestreamed to YouTube from the Sanctuary. Darrah Bryans, Ministerial Intern, preaching.
“You do not need to have a college degree to serve … you only need a heart of grace.” On this Sunday of the weekend in which we honor the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr we will explore the ideas of service, of giving and of generosity. Rev. Dr. King spent his life in service to freedom, to justice, to equity, and to making a difference in our world. What does Rev. Dr. Kings new definition of greatness have to teach us and how can we UUs live into our values as we take his words to heart? As part of our theme of “service” our Religious Exploration class this Sunday will learn about Generic Ministry and the ways in which even those without many years behind them or those without college degrees, without perfect grammar, without autonomy can make a difference in the world.
