Jeanette Anderson will bring stories from her great grand parents’ life on the frontier and their attendance at revival camp meetings.
We will be outside on the FP front lawn, together in person for the first time since March. Fingers crossed for good weather that morning! (The service will also be live streamed.)
Here are the ground rules:
Wear your mask
Bring your own lawn chair or blanket
Sit 6 feet away from people you aren’t locked down with
You can’t go into the church buildings
Rain cancels – so really, fingers crossed!
Music from the Christian tradition – Methodist, Southern Baptist, the traditional songs of the Appalachians – are part of our UU roots, one of the many sources from which we draw inspiration. It’s also music that we used to hear at FP, way back. Join us for a chance to sing tunes you may not have heard since Sunday School (if ever). Jeanette Anderson will bring stories from her childhood, camp meetings, the people who were there at that time, and their diversity, hard times and courage.
Beth and Jim Sargent will lead the singing.
