Roberta Altamari speaking
Join us in the Sanctuary where folks of all ages are welcome to join us for a special multigenerational service as we celebrate our beloved “Festivals of Light”. Whether it be the light that comes to us by the rotation of the earth, a star, a candle, or a light from within, our children and teens will guide us in honoring the hope and love that light brings into our lives. They will share with you some of the winter celebrations that encompass the theme of light. For centuries, different religions and cultures have celebrated winter holidays where light is a pivotal part of the celebration. Light is also a universal symbol of the human spirit and its connection with the Divine. It is especially significant at festivals associated with birth, overcoming hardships, and love. We hope you find joy in the words and rituals and songs of these many Festivals of Light.
