Even UU’s Get the Blues with Rev. Ken Reeves

In its chord patterns, blues music expresses the oscillations of human life, and the striving for liberation.  If you could sing about how it feels to rise, go to work, relate to people, face losses and triumphs, persevere with an eye on a prize, and, at the end of the day, rest, that song would be your blues. This sermon offers a narrative version of the blues.

The Rev. Ken Reeves is a graduate of the Starr King School for the Ministry, and has served congregations in Ohio and Delaware.  He has also earned a Masters in Pastoral Counseling and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.  He is currently a consulting psychologist and the Clinical Director of the Center for Career Development and Ministry. He is also the author of: The Whole Church, Congregational Leadership Guided by Systems Theory.
