A Spiritual Just Energy Transition for Earth

by

Sunday, July 16th at 10:30 am, in person and livestreamed to YouTube from the Sanctuary.

Eco-Nuclear Solutions, a grassroots volunteer group of environmentalists, will lead the July 16 service with information that will surprise and challenge common assumptions about the transition from fossil fuels. Plan to stay afterward for a sermon talk-back with UU scientists, educators and tree-huggers from Eco-Nuclear Solutions.

Activist and author Susan Tordella will deliver a sermon to welcome you to think beyond the commonly held beliefs about renewables and the benefits of clean, safe modern nuclear energy. The seeds of the group come from two Unitarians who will attend – David Butz — a lifelong student and nuclear energy advocate and Carolyn McCreary, Ph.D, a two-term Select Board member who led Ayer to become a Green Community. Be ready to enter the space of the fourth UU principle: A free and responsible search for truth and meaning; consider how nuclear energy applies to the interdependent web; and listen to another perspective on the existential crisis of our time.
