On the Sunday when we honor both Advent 2 (Peace) and Bodhi Day, we’ll lift up the lives and friendship of Tibetan Buddhist leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama and South African activist and Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu. What did these two luminaries teach about “opening to joy”? What can we learn from their lives as spiritual leaders of oppressed peoples of different religious and cultural backgrounds? Our music directors, Laura Nevitt and Chris Lockman, will offer music, and our children’s RE program will start on “pageant prep.”
