What do I Make for Dinner Tonight?
The Green Congregation Committee is happy to announce
a free online cookbook with vegan and vegetarian recipes from our congregation. These healthy, delicious dishes will expand your meal repertoire and help reduce carbon emissions.
Even adding a few plant-based meals to your weekly menu will make an impact on your carbon footprint, since it is estimated that animal agriculture is a major contributor to global climate change. (Read more…)
Quick Notes on using the cookbook
When you click on the cookbook link:
- You will see the title and a bar with the words “GET IT NOW.” You can click that if you want to download the cookbook and have it on your computer, but you don’t have to download the cookbook in order to view it.
- Scroll down a bit past the photo of First Parish and you will see two little boxes on the right, next to the words “View Recipes by:” Click the little icon with three lines and voilá — you will see categories that let you filter the recipes. Click on whatever you are looking for: main dish, soup, appetizer, vegan, etc. Find something that looks good? Click on the recipe to get details and print it out if you choose.
- This is the fun part! Please leave a review so that others can see your comments or adjustments to the recipe.
