Annual Meeting This Sunday Night

Read the Annual Report!

The Annual Meeting of First Parish in Needham took place at 7pm on Sunday evening, May 17, in the Meetinghouse. Items on the warrant included:

  • Electing a new slate of officers including Gail Hedges as President and Eliot Jekowsky, Susan Smart, and Mary Ellen Menken as Parish Committee numbers.
  • Approving the revised Mission and Vision statements
  • Reviewing and approving the budget

Ed QIn 2006, the UUA issued a Statement of Conscience.  The following is an excerpt:

Sarah Gibb Millspaugh on the importance of church web sites

Once upon a time, Rev. Sarah Gibb Millspaugh was a much-loved intern minister here at First Parish. Now she is the UUA’s Outreach Associate for Digital Ministries. It is in that current role that Sarah recently published a blogpost on the importance of church websites. Not only does Sarah give a nice nod to our own website, she also gives a good overview of what we – and many other churches – are trying to accomplish online.
