Dennis John Munsinger

The many members and friends of First Parish in Needham who know and love our incredibly caring member Helen Lane will be saddened to learn of the sudden death of her youngest son, Dennis John Munsinger, age 48, on Saturday, April 24, at his home in Brattleboro, Vermont. Dennis had been in compromised health for some time but his death was sudden and unexpected — probably a result of a deep vein blood clot.  He is survived by his partner, Jesse Medina, by his brothers David and Douglas and their families, and by a beloved step-father, the Rev. Ed Lane. There will be two memorial services: One at First Parish in Needham on Sat., May 15, at 10 am, with the Rev. John Buehrens presiding; and one at All Souls Church, Unitarian Universalist in Brattleboro (802-254-9377), on Sunday afternoon, May 16, with the Rev. Barbro Hanson presiding.

The family has asked that memorial donations in lieu of flowers go to Freedom to Marry (www.freedomtomarry.org), 116 West 23rd St, Suite 500, New York, NY 10011.    

Nancy Waterhouse

We are sad to report the death on March 12 of our member, Nancy Waterhouse, 75. Nancy joined First Parish in 1958. She was a long-time music educator in the public schools and still taught piano privately. She leaves a son, Dr. Victor Lazaron of North Conway, NH, a daughter, Melinda Jacobs of Cape Cod, and three grandchildren. John Buehrens will conduct a memorial service for her at First Parish, on Sunday, May 2nd, at 2 pm.
